It’s available to anyone for a Free Will Donation to CMI Ministries!

This book is an inspiring memoir that follows the true story of Scott and Betsy Peterson as they trust God fully and embark on a journey of faith. The book details their experiences building a Christian radio station—our station KCMI 97.1FM—in Western Nebraska and later in Northern California, navigating life-changing decisions and miraculous provision. It emphasizes themes of unwavering faith, divine intervention, and the fulfillment of God's purpose in their lives. This memoir serves as a call to action for anyone seeking purpose and renewed hope, offering encouragement and insight into the beauty of surrendering to God's plan.

Thank you to Scott and Betsy for donating these books to our ministry!

We are looking for Prayer Warriors to write and record 2-3 minute prayers for our Prayer for the Nation segment on the radio!

  • This segment is pre-recorded to play on weekdays at 7:30am, noon, and 5:50pm.

  • We like to have a different person and prayer for each day of the month.

  • It is a 2-3 minute prayer for our nation and our nation's leaders.

  • We ask that these prayers come with a spirit of humility, kindness, love, and graciousness.

  • Prayer Warriors update their prayer every month or every other month.

  • It could be recorded in our studio, at home and sent in, or via a phone call to our studio.

If you're interested in joining our Prayer Warriors or have questions, give us a call at 308-632-5264.

The area’s only truly local Christian radio station

The radio station went on the air in 1981 serving mainly Terrytown, Scottsbluff and Gering. In the late 1980s, KCMI received a major boost in power and listenership as it became a 100,000-watt station. KCMI now serves an area roughly bounded by Sidney, Oshkosh, Hay Springs, Nebraska and Lingle, Wyoming to the west.
